Number of stalks:
2 for Love & marriage
3 For happiness
5 For health
8 For wealth
9 for Good fortune.
The next question is how to put the plant:
All the five elements of Feng shui should be present in the bamboo plant.
Wood- the plant itself
water- The container should have some water. Also the plant grows with water.
Earth- Put some pebbles in the container to introduce earth element
Fire- Tie the plant with Red ribbon
Metal- the container should be prefably of metal
That is how all the 5 Feng shui elements are balanced in the cure.
